How do I start using AI after 40?

Short answerPick one familiar, low-risk task such as rewriting a routine email or organizing notes. Give the AI clear context, inspect every part of the draft, and change what is wrong. Repeat the same task several times before adding another tool.
A useful first week
- Choose one task that does not contain private or confidential information.
- Describe the reader, purpose, source facts, and desired format.
- Ask for a first draft, not a final answer.
- Check every claim, remove awkward language, and add the context the tool missed.
- Write down whether the complete process saved time or improved the work.
You do not need a technical background
You need enough understanding to recognize the tool’s limits. Learn privacy, hallucinations, context, and review first. Technical subjects can wait until they help with a real task.
